Settlers III sites have thinned out a lot, but thats only because most Settlers fans are moving to Settlers IV. In any case, Settlers is much bigger outside the English speaking world than in it, so don't let the apparently small number of links put you off...

This comprehensive strategy guide gives the Romans, Egyptian and Asian cultures a thorough going over, and makes a great start for anyone trying to work out the Settlers economy.

Settler 3 Depot
Homegrown site showing weeds and far too many self-spawning Tripod User page windows. It does have some useful hints'n'tips, though.
Settlers Map Base: A huge Settlers map site, with something like a 1000+ Settlers III maps!
Settlers.Net. A big, local (i.e. Australian) Settlers site with news, forums, info, downloads, interviews and a Top 100 list. It also caters for a number of other games: of particular note is Scorched Plastic, a LEGO mod for, of all things, Tribes 2.
