Other Total Conversions
Outside the inevitable Babylon 5 and Star
Wars Mods, comes the Everything Else TC page! Some anime, and
finally, some brave attempts to make something new and different
for the game.
RTSC
says: "Whee! Its fun! Go geddit!" |

BrickSpace
1 |
|
BrickSpace
is a total conversion replacing those boring old Homeworld
ship models with... LEGO ones! Even better, its the old LEGO
Space sets from the Eighties! Its very cute, and eminently
playable. The Classic Space (CS)
LEGO models replace the Kushan, while the Taiidani are unchanged.
At present, the mod is designed for Homeworld, but in the
process of being adapted to Homeworld
2. BrickSpace 1 is for the Homeworld;
BrickSpace
2 is for Homeworld
2. The HW2 version adds the Blacktron
LEGO fleet. You can follow its HW2 progress at its Development
Journal, or via its RelicNews forum thread.
Current version: un-numbered. Well
worth keeping an eye on! |

Produced
by the Drunken
Pirates Clan, the Battleship
Mod converts the Homeworld capital ships
into real (ocean-going) naval vessels and all strikecraft
into existing military aircraft, such as F-15s
and A-10 Warthogs. Surreal, impressive,
and probably the nearest thing to the Homeworld equivalent
of Counter-Strike at the moment.
Current version 2.0. The next version
is well underway. |

Space:
Above and Beyond is a project that seems to have come back
from the dead(!) This total conversion is based on the TV sci-fi
series of the same name. Its Earth
versus the Chigs! There's a variety
of nicely modeled and textured ships for both sides, and plans
to polish up a fresh release. Also: moddatabase
entry. Current version: 1.0, plus
a balancing patch. |

TTA
Homeworld |
|
Its the Terran
Trade Authority custom mod! The TTA
books used 70's sci-fi novel cover art to produce a series
of spaceship "handbooks" describing a fictional chunk of history
from 2100AD onwards. (I was besotted with them in primary school)
Now all those funky ships are appearing in a Homeworld mod of
their own - well, a small number at least. |
