After a bit of a wait, AoE2.com finally came up. It caters to a number of Age Of ~ titles, and is still incomplete. Its strategy section (at time of writing - July 27th) was yet to be established, and there doesn't to be much in the way of downloads or maps as yet. Its forums look like the most lively part of this work in progress mega site. |

Naturally the Gamespy Network
has a sizeable and comprehensive website devoted to this game. Big, comprehensive,
and a good starting point for basic info, strategies, downloads and forums.
Unlike many Planet~ sites, it lacks affiliates and hosted sites devoted
to the game. |
| Through The Ages | A large, active, comprehensive fan site for everything to do with the Age of Empires series. The includes the original AoE game right through to Age of Mythology and its expansion packs. |

& Info Links There don't appear to be that many specialized AoE2 strategy sites: most info & strategies are to be found in the big super sites listed above. |

| Age of Kings Digital | An excellent source of information specializing in Age of Kings' expansion, The Conquerors. |
| GameProWorld | Although highly commercial, GameProWorld's AoE2 Strategy Guide is a sound introduction to the newcomer. It also has an excellent guide on the random map types found in AoE2 multiplayer games. |

Gamespot's AoE2 Game Guide gives you the usual glossy guide and the usual clamour to actually buy the thing. As ever, a good read. |
| A serious gamers' site that uses a forum to post articles. Its run (and mostly financed) by Mr Fixit. aok.rtscentral.com is the Age of Kings section (it covers other games, too) and has many excellent strategy postings arranged into different sections. |
